Dunlap Recreation Association

The Dunlap Recreation Association (Dunlap Rec.) is a community based youth sports organization in Dunlap, IL whose mission is to provide boys and girls ages 5-15 the value of sportsmanship and teamwork thru both competitive and recreational baseball, softball, basketball, and lacrosse.  The DRA is organized by volunteers and is completely funded by fees, donations, concessions and sponsorships.

Try Lacrosse! Beginner clinics open for registration!

Interested in trying lacrosse? Join us for for the FREE Play LAX Day to see what it's all about!


This FREE event for all Peoria area players grades K-8 is hosted by Dunlap Lacrosse, and made possible by a Dick's Sports Matter grant. 

PLAY LAX DAY - Beginners 

  • K-8th Boys and Girls 6:30-7:30

Calling all future lacrosse players! This is your chance to try lacrosse! Coaches will introduce players to the basic stick skills such as grip, throwing, catching, ground ball and much more. Your coaches for this event will be the Dunlap boys and girls Spring Youth League coaches and Dunlap High School team players. Everyone is excited to show you how much fun this sport can be! 

  • * Players will be divided by size/age
  • * Sticks will be available to use for this event (or bring your own!
  • * Please remember that girls and boys sticks are different)
  • * All play will be NON-contact (We will use tennis balls and you will NOT need protective gear)


PLAY LAX DAY- Returning Players:

  • K-4th from 6:30-7:30 PM (gear required and available)
  • 5th-8th (and HS girls) from 7:30-8:45 PM (full gear required)

NEW this year! Play LAX Day will also feature a free returning player clinic! The 5th-8th grade clinic will be run by True Lacrosse from Chicago!

  • * Full gear is required. Sticks will be available to use for this event (or bring your own! Please remember that girls and boys sticks are different)


After this event, if you are interested in learning more lacrosse, please register at for the Lacrosse 2020 Winter Clinics  on February 23 and 27, also at the Louisville Sports Complex.
